Been a busy bee working for the paper this week. Here’s shots from a few events today and yesterday.

Vanderbilt defeated Florida 77-67 in the final home game of the season. It was also senior night, and emotions ran high as Vanderbilt honored their senior players that have led the team for the past several years – Jeff Taylor, Brad Tinsley, Festus Ezeli and Steve Tchiengang among them.

The No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats defeated Vanderbilt 83-74 last night (Feb. 25, 2012).

Some shots from the Asian New Year Festival, put on by AASA at Vanderbilt.

Vanderbilt University held a town hall discussion last Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, to discuss its nondiscrimination policy, particularly as it applies to religious student groups. Check out student media’s coverage of the issue on InsideVandy.com if you’re interested.
The lecture hall that the meeting was held in accommodated 203 people – as you can see from the first few images, which were taken outside 45 minutes before the town hall began, many, many more people showed up than were able to enter. The meeting also ran over by more than an hour.

Vanderbilt defeated Tennessee 65-47 tonight in Memorial Gym.

This was a crazy game. Both teams held 10+ point leads at various points, and it ended up in overtime with a 78-77 win for Mississippi State.
